Troubleshooting Labs Course
Course Description:
This course introduces Bridgerland Technical College's Troubleshooting Methodology through hands-on labs in hydraulics, electrical systems, pneumatics, and motor controls. Learners engage with modeling videos and complete course-level troubleshooting assessments to reinforce technical skills. The course can be adopted and adapted by other institutions to strengthen student troubleshooting capability.
This course prepares students to:
- Apply systems-thinking to identify root causes of equipment failure.
- Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams relevant to control systems.
- Communicate effectively using the troubleshooting methodology to describe system faults.
- Adapt to real-world pressures, including time constraints and safety regulations.
