Technical Workforce Immersive Teaching and Learning Resources
immersivelearning.academy
This three-year project aims to enhance technician education at two-year colleges by incorporating immersive technologies such as 360 photography, augmented reality, mixed reality, and virtual reality into the classroom. By bridging the gap between industrial applications and academic integration of these technologies, the Technical Workforce Immersive Teaching and Learning Resource project seeks to simplify the implementation process, providing professional development opportunities for faculty to create immersive curricula. Through immersive technology summer bootcamps, learning community networks, and content development support, faculty will explore discipline-specific applications and develop resources for open educational instruction, ultimately equipping technician students with the skills to adapt to a rapidly evolving workplace.
