Preferred Program Evaluations considers itself a partner in the design and administration of grant-funded projects.  Since 2008, Preferred Program Evaluations has evaluated initiatives designed to increase academic scholarship and persistence in STEM, as well as enrichment and behavioral intervention programs that employ a holistic approach to personal development.  We believe the value of a well-designed evaluation rests in its ability to establish the merits of each project, unearth intended and collateral impacts, and make a case for wholly or partially sustaining a project once the current funding stream has been exhausted.

The services provided by Preferred Program Evaluations are tailored to the project under consideration and the specific needs of each client.  Preferred Program Evaluations is often solicited during the proposal writing process to provide input and guidance on the evaluation while the project is still in the initial stages of development.  Preferred Program Evaluations takes pride in being an accessible resource to its clients for the duration of each project by functioning as a sounding board for questions about project implementation, metrics, and instrumentation.

Ms. Blake Urbach, Principal Consultant of Preferred Program Evaluations, has 17 years of experience in the evaluation of grant funded projects.  While her approach to evaluation is thorough and scientific, it remains inclusive, purposeful, and economical.  Ms. Urbach is responsible for collaborating with public and private entities on the design and execution of program evaluations for the purpose of informing educational and social policy.  She has served as the lead evaluator for dozens of state and federally funded projects across several states.

Preferred Program Evaluations has successfully partnered with institutions of higher education, K-12 public schools, and non-profit agencies to evaluate the following state and federal competitive funding initiatives:
