In this application exercise we'll learn to configure both multifunction terminal P1 and the electromechanical relay output on the Omron 3G3JX-AE004 motor drive. We'll examine the run, at speed, and overload warning function. Additionally, we'll learn to directly monitor the status of the two multifunction outputs using the multifunction output monitor function for troubleshooting purposes when the output is remotely located or otherwise inaccessible. Finally, we'll briefly discussed how the multifunction electromechanical relay output can be used to switch other electrical loads like spring applied electrically released friction brakes.
