What and where is the ATE resource collection?

The ATE Resource Collection contains curriculum, professional developments materials, videos, and other valuable resources created by the ATE community. The Resource Collection can be browsed by subject, education level, format, resource type, ATE area, and more. Alternatively, users can also find materials in the Resource Collection by using the Search option in the top-right corner of the website.

When exploring the Resource Collection (or anything else on the site) using the Search option, you can refine your search results to zero in on what you’re looking for via Advanced Search. Please make note of the Advanced Search Tips at the bottom of the page, which can help you use and master the many features of the Advanced Search.

 

Where can I find archived ATE resources?

All archived ATE resources can be viewed using this saved search, and you can then refine that list as desired using the facets to the right of the search results.  This search uses an option available on the Advanced Search page under the Resource section called Archived – setting this option to “Yes” will ensure that your search results include only archived ATE resources.

How can I learn more about ATE-related events?

ATE Central brings event information from across the ATE community together in a single calendar. The calendar can be narrowed down by ATE area, and includes conferences, student events, webinars, workshops, and more. Users can also submit ATE-related events to be included in the calendar.

 

How can I add ATE-related events to my website or personal calendar?

ATE Central offers ATE Calendar Feeds, which can automatically display upcoming events of your choosing from the ATE events calendar on your Outlook or Mac Calendar app, or your WordPress-based website (using a calendar plugin).

 

What is the ATE Outreach Kit?

The ATE Outreach Kit is designed to help ATE community members develop an outreach plan that cleanly identifies core messages, defines target audiences, establishes a promotion timeframe, and more. The kit is divided into five sections, each breaking down the information community members need to consider in a way that’s easy to understand. The downloadable Outreach Template and Planning Table are also available, which can help community members follow along with the kit and organize their resources.

 

What is STEMLink?

STEMLink is a service from ATE Central that puts thousands of high-quality, authoritative applied STEM educational materials directly into your campus’s Learning Management System (LMS). These materials include modules, videos, assessments, and more.

 

How can I get a website for my ATE project or center?

Having a website for your project or center is vital to supporting outreach efforts and connecting with your audience and community. ATE Central can set your project/center up with a microsite, which enables you to share documents and photos, publish curriculum materials, announce events and publications, and disseminate products and progress. To get your microsite, please email [email protected] with information about your ATE project.

 

How can I connect with others in the ATE community?

The ATE program includes a number of initiatives that aid in evaluation, the creation of materials, dissemination of research, and more – when your project/center is in need of this kind of support, they are always a great place to start.  Details can be found on the Community Support page.

Subscribing to the ATE Central Connection newsletter can help keep you abreast of new activity in the community. How can I order print copies of the ATE Impacts book?

The ATE Impacts book advances the understanding of the ATE program, the accomplishments of its projects and centers, and the importance of educated technicians to work in America’s high-tech industries. For physical copies of the latest book, please fill out the book request form. We also offer digital versions of the latest and past editions.
