MFG Your Future: Intro; Next Gen Manufacturing

This short video, created by National Center for Next Generation Manufacturing (NCNGM), explores manufacturing in Connecticut. Many do not realize the type of work that is being done within this state. The explanation states, “Today, manufacturing is not the way it used to be. It's high tech, it's clean, and it's growing.” The resource explores many different fields. Everything from bio-manufacturing to the creation of guitars is discussed. Interviews with experts in many of these fields are included for greater insight into the different processes. The twelve community colleges in the state are mentioned for a way to gain expertise and employment in this emerging industry. This is a great resource for students in any state looking for direction into different career avenues.
