Geological Formations for Drillers Course Outcome Summary

From the GeoExchange Initiative at Gateway Technical College, this Course Outcome Summary describes the Geological Formations for Drillers course, which introduces students to geology as it relates to borehole construction and includes the "types of consolidated and unconsolidated formations, their hardness, their regional occurance, the most efficient drilling process for each as well as basic rock identification and sample classification." In addition to the course information and description, visitors will find learning outcomes in both core abilities and general education outcomes, and competencies. The Competencies section describes both what students are expected to perform, and what determines whether that performance is successful.
