The Micro and Macro Worlds: A Size and Scale Lesson

This lesson, presented by the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure, covers the general concepts of size and scale by discussing the micro and macro worlds. The activity focuses on using scale bars as this is "the most common feature when presenting nanoscale structures or naonoscale science." Students will also learn about different scales of measure which is fundamental to learning about nanotechnology. A Teacher Preparation Guide and PowerPoint slides are included.
