Silicon Solar Cell Efficiency: Comparing Input Power to Output Power of a Silicon Photovoltaic Cell

This lab, presented by the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure, teaches students how to measure the efficiency of a solar cell. Students will compare the output power of a silicon PV cell with the input power of incandescent light bulbs illuminating the PV from a set distance.
