This resource, provided by the Nanotechnology Applications and Career Knowledge Support Center (NACK Center), includes a lab guide and corresponding videos that walk through the process of examining "the liposome as a carrier of fluorescent tags used in cancer identification." Throughout the lab, students will create liposomes from raw materials, which will then be "tagged, extruded to a proper size, filtered, and characterized." The 20-page lab guide includes objects, equipment needed, a 24-step lab procedure, and an explanation of results. Additionally, the lab guide provides background on manufacturing and tagging, extrusion, and liposome filtering. Included are nine demonstration videos that correspond with different sections of the lab as noted by the lab guide.
