Mathematics for Photonics Education: Special Graphs
            
                        This lecture, presented by John Chamberlain, covers the basics of special graphs - like exponential graphs and semilog scales - as the concept relates to photonics education. In 38 minutes, Chamberlain touches on topics such as exponential graphs, polar coordinates, converting rectangular measurements to polar measurements, and converting polar measurements to rectangular measurements. Examples of these concepts in action include estimating capacities of batteries and measuring sound intensity. Upon completion of the lecture, students should be able to read and interpret exponential graphs on linear and semilog scales, graph exponential functions on semilog scales, and read and interpret polar graphs.
