Digital Badges: Open Badges 101

This webinar, made available by Maricopa Advanced Technology Education Center (MATEC), discusses Mozilla's Open Badge system. Badges are defined as "digital representations of a skill or achievement" and can be used in a variety of environments from education and social media to the workplace. Some examples of how badges can be used include: encouraging underperforming students to engage with course material, connecting employers with suitable job candidates, and helping non-college educated adults join the workforce. Included with the webinar are presentation slides and a handout that features a webinar description, contact information for the presenter, and additional resources. The webinar recording runs 01:02:05 minutes long.
