Cloud Chambers

This lesson plan, adapted from the United States Department of Energy's "Science, Society and America's Nuclear Waste-Ionizing Radiation," teaches students how to visually demonstrate radiation and develop an understanding of detectors.  This webpage includes downloads to a PDF document of the lesson plan and the associated standards that it fulfills.  Additionally, a list of materials needed to complete the lesson is included on the website.  The lesson plan is intended for students in high school and higher; it takes one class period to complete the lesson.
