Hearthside Food Solutions: Additive Manufacturing Integration

This case study presents Hearthside Food Solutions, a global baked goods producer, confronted with the challenge of having machinery that needs frequent maintenance and repair, which increases operational costs and decreases productivity. The Additive Manufacturing (AM) department at Somerset Community College provided Hearthside's team with their expertise in additive manufacturing and engineering to optimize their production and create solutions. This resulted in Hearthside reporting approximately $30,000 in savings, and offers a model that is scalable to the rest of Hearthside's 23 facilities around the world.
