In the video, Christopher Hayes, a deaf PhD candidate at the University of Connecticut in mathematics discusses his experiences in higher education. Hayes describes his educational background, barriers he faced as a deaf person, what made him pursue mathematics, teaching styles and classroom approaches that are effective for deaf students, graph theory, fractals, and the Sierpinski carpet.
