IREC & the ACE Apprenticeship Network

In this webinar, provided by the Center for Renewable Energy Advanced Technological Education Resource Center (CREATE), Richard Lawrence from Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) provides an overview of the Apprenticeships in Clean Energy (ACE) program. The webinar focuses on ACE's role in developing registered apprenticeships in renewable energy, aiming to meet the anticipated workforce need as a result of the transfer to renewable energy. Lawrence discusses registered apprenticeships, their benefits, and the growing importance of apprenticeships in a variety of disciplines. Also covered are laws around registered apprenticeships, such as requirements from the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, steps to launch or participate in a registered apprenticeship program, and apprenticeable occupations in clean energy.
