This episode of the Talking Technicians podcast, from the Micro Nano Technology Education Center (MNT-EC), features an interview with Alberto, a manufacturer equipment technician at Wolfspeed. During the interview, Alberto discusses the day-to-day responsibilities of a technician at Wolfspeed, salaries for different semiconductor technician levels, impressions on working in the semiconductor industry, and advice for prospective technicians. Special focus is placed on Alberto's journey from being a Toyota mechanic, to an air frame mechanic in the military, and finally to a semiconductor technician through a Vet S.T.E.P (Veteran Semiconductor Training & Experience Program) apprenticeship.
