Coral Crusaders: Technical Report

This 25-page report, from the Coral Crusaders team, describes the design and creation of subsea remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) created by the Coral Crusaders team for the Ranger class of the 2024 MATE ROV competition. MATE ROV is a global competition that challenges STEM students to build underwater ROVs to complete challenges. The competition is split into the following classes based on build complexity: Explorer, Ranger, Pioneer, and Navigator, and Scout.
This report begins by outlining the design and quality assurance process for developing their Spooky Jobs ROVs. Also covered are specific techniques in this process and some of the capabilities of Spooky Jobs ROVs.
The report is divided into five main sections, followed by three appendices. The main sections are as follows: Abstract, Project Management, Design Rationale, Testing and Troubleshooting, and Accounting. The following appendices are included: Operations and Safety Checklist, Budget, and Cost and Accounting.
