Lesson Plan: Pre Calculus

This 2-page lesson plan, published by the American Samoa Technician Education Readiness Pathway Project (ASTERP), features two activities to be completed in a single class period. The first activity consists of a competition in which students pair up to solve rational expressions on whiteboards. The second, closing activity simulates a text conversation where students describe the process of simplifying a rational expression to an absent classmate. The lesson plan includes standards met by the activities, instructions, and activity objectives.
