Environmental Health & Safety: HAZWOPER
This web page, from the Environmental and Natural Resources Technology (EARTh) Center, provides 24 (of 40) hours of the HAZWOPER Waste Site Worker Training course. This course is intended to give participants an understanding of OSHA and other regulatory requirements related to hazardous waste site activities. The course includes the following modules: Regulations Overview, Site Characterization, Health and Physical Hazards, Hazard Recognition, Radiation Hazards, Respiratory Protection, PPE Clothing and Ensembles, Site Control, Decontamination, Medical Surveillance, Air Monitoring, Emergency Procedures, and more. Most modules include a quiz and some include simulation activities.
