Geology Mineral Lab

This resource, provided by Nanotechnology Applications and Career Knowledge Support Center (NACK Center), is an 18-page guide for a lab on the identification of minerals. In this lab, students will conduct experiments to determine mineral properties and identify an unknown mineral. The lab guide includes background information, materials needed, and procedures for each section of the lab. Also included are instructions around remote access connection, which allows for the remote, nanoscale characterization of samples from the classroom activity.
