Biotechnology Career Exploration

This 3-page lesson plan, provided by Northwestern Connecticut Community College, is for an activity that engages students in biotechnology career exploration. In the activity, students will use biotech-careers.org, a website with information about entry-level careers in the biotech industry, to research three careers in biotechnology and decide which one would be the most appealing. Students will then create a poster presentation for their chosen career and develop an action plan for attaining the career. The lesson plan includes various student learning goals, essential questions, a description of the activity, activity requirements, and a grading rubric.
