BUAS 2010: Commercial HVACR & Controls

Program Description:
The Building Automation Systems Technician program at Georgia Piedmont Technical College prepares students to enter the building automation industry with skills to market, install, design, service, and troubleshoot complex commercial control systems. After completing the program, students will have a proficiency in HVAC/R commercial systems, control theory, logic and programming, installation, system design, and integration.
Course Description:
BUAS 2010: Commercial HVACR and Controls is one of nine courses in the Building Automation Systems Technician program. This 20-page instructor manual outlines the course, that serves as an introduction "... to the major types of HVAC systems found in commercial buildings." The course also focuses on control theory and the sequences of operation of mechanical systems and the associated control strategies used in their management.
