Interview with Forough Hashemi, Former Electrical and Electronics Technology Department Chair at Laney College

This video from the Building Efficiency for a Sustainable Tomorrow (BEST) Center features an interview with Forough Hashemi, electrical engineer and former chair of the Electrical and Electronics Technology Department at Laney College. In the interview, Hashemi discusses the Electrical Technology Program at Laney College, which provides training for electricians. Hashemi describes the program curriculum, which covers advanced lighting controls; photovoltaic system design and installation; and energy, efficiency, and sustainability. The interview also covers challenges and opportunities in the solar industry, the Laney College summer bridge program for high school students, and the importance of project-based learning.
