DMT 92: Applied GD&T (ASME Y14.5m); Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)

This 5-page course outline provides general information about the Applied Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) course taught at De Anza College. This course focuses on "the interpretation of specifications and inspection procedures related to current ASME Y14.5 [...] GD&T standards." During the course, students learn to apply these standards using precision measuring tools and computer-aided Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) in a manufacturing environment. Machine and part set-up for measuring form, orientation, and position call-outs are demonstrated.

The course outline includes a course description, course justification, course development options, methods of instruction, assignments, learning outcomes and objectives, and more.
