Two Energy Lessons for Your Classroom
In this webinar from the Center for Renewable Energy Advanced Technological Education (CREATE), science educator Greg Hogan shares two lesson plans on energy and electricity for middle grade classrooms. The first lesson, The Electric Spider, uses a hands-on activity and a digital simulation to explore electron transfer and its effect on materials. In the second lesson, The Cost of Using Electricity, students calculate the cost of electricity in their homes, starting "discussions about energy consumption, fossil fuel costs, and alternative energy options."
This video runs 00:29:23 minutes in length.
