The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) will be hosting a conference orientation webinar on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 2:00-3:00PM EDT. It will provide an overview of the 2025 ATE PI Conference’s agenda and share tips on how to maximize networking opportunities, manage your time, and navigate the event.

This is the second course in a two-part CMMC readiness series. Building on foundational knowledge, this course prepares learners to implement the required security controls from the NIST SP 800-171 framework and configure audit-readiness activities for CMMC certification. It also explores the use of modern tools and AI capabilities to streamline compliance and training processes.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the relationship between CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, FCI, and CUI.
  2. Assess CMMC applicability and readiness within an organization.
  3. Implement and manage NIST SP 800-171 controls using real-world tools.
  4. Track compliance tasks and progress using CMMC dashboards.
  5. Prepare for a third-party audit, including artifact collection and POA&M documentation.
  6. Use AI tools to build chatbots, training agents, and audit assistants to accelerate compliance readiness.

Participate in a custom series of instructor-led webinars designed to provide community college faculty and staff with a practical introduction to Generative AI and Microsoft Copilot. The two training sessions cover effective prompting, ethical AI use, and real-world applications for educators and administrators. Through interactive discussions and hands-on examples, participants will learn how to integrate AI tools into their workflows to enhance productivity and decision-making. 

The first training, Introduction to Generative AI and Microsoft Copilot for Faculty and Staff, provides an essential overview of Generative AI and Microsoft Copilot. The follow-up trainings, focused on practical strategies for incorporating AI-driven tools into daily responsibilities, are divided into focused sessions for Faculty and for Staff.

CREATE Faculty Coffee Hours are a time to get together (virtually) and discuss topics of interest for Energy Faculty each month. Please come to these sessions prepared to share your experiences and ideas on the specified topic (what has worked or maybe what hasn’t worked). If you don’t have experiences or ideas on the specific topic, please come and learn from your colleagues.  This will be an opportunity to share and brainstorm ideas together.

In this conversation, ATE PIs, project evaluators, and staff will come together to discuss strategies for leading successful facilitation in their projects. Participants will share their experiences, discuss effective techniques for engaging diverse audiences, and identify ways to foster collaboration and ensure productive outcomes within ATE projects.

Introductory webinar that explores the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence across the manufacturing sector. Designed specifically for community college faculty, it offers a practical survey of key concepts, real-world applications, and the evolving demands of industry. Participants will learn how AI is streamlining operations from design and production to supply chain resilience and discover strategies to prepare students for an AI-powered workforce. 

This Microsoft-sponsored session will be delivered by Black Dog Black Cat, a Microsoft Certified Trainer, and will include Microsoft resources and case studies of companies applying AI in Manufacturing. 

This comprehensive training program prepares community faculty members for the AWS Certified AI Practitioner certification by covering essential AI/ML concepts and AWS implementation. The curriculum, divided into 4 sessions of 2 hours each, encompasses fundamental artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI technologies, with emphasis on practical applications, use case identification, and responsible AI implementation. Participants will learn to evaluate AI solutions and integrate cloud-based AI services into educational contexts. AWS AI Practitioner certification exam vouchers will be available to all educators who successfully complete all training sessions.

Previous knowledge required

Basic understanding of cloud computing and Machine Learning concepts. Familiarity with general IT concepts is beneficial, though no prior AWS or AI experience is required.

Faculty members from all disciplines interested in AI and cloud computing, particularly those looking to incorporate AWS cloud computing and AI services into their teaching.

Join NSF program directors for a virtual office hours session to discuss the Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) invite to supplemental funding requests from current ExLENT and ATE awardees to pilot, implement, or expand AI-focused career and skill building learning opportunities for high school students. The session will feature a moderated Q&A.

To support proposal development, NSF ATE and ExLENT program officers will host two informational webinars (Sept. 10th and Oct. 14th) to share details about the DCL and answer your questions. In addition, there will be information sessions at the ATE PI meeting in October 2025.  Please register for one of the two session dates. The information that is shared at the two webinars will be the same, so you need to sign up for just one.

These webinars are free for WiM members and only $35 for nonmembers, making them accessible and valuable for all professionals.
