Join an action-packed day of skills competition. Diesel students from CTCs and CTEs are invited to compete for scholarships, prizes, and training aids for their programs.

Here's how it works:

  • CTC/CTE programs interested in participating in the event will complete an online skills test created by Penn College faculty.
  • Students from the top scoring CTCs/CTEs will be invited to a hands-on competition at Penn College.
  • At the on-campus event, students will be judged on their skills as they cycle through 10 industry-sponsored competition stations.

At the end of the event the top three participants will receive Penn College scholarships. Each competition station will also have prizes for first-, second- and third-place winners. Additionally, the winning CTC/CTE will receive a cash prize to purchase training aids for their program.

BioMADE is offering a three-day professional development workshop to support instructors at two-year institutions in implementing pilot bioindustrial manfacturing modules. These workshops are part of BioMADE’s work to build a comprehensive community-to-career pathway for bioindustrial manufacturing jobs in Solano County, California. These workshops are relevant for instructors and faculty teaching in biomanufacturing and biotechnology programs at two-year institutions in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. Instructors and faculty at Minority-Serving Institutions and two-year colleges in geographically underserved and under-resourced areas are encouraged to apply.

There is no registration cost. Attendees will receive a stipend of $1,000 to support their participation and offset any travel expenses.

NOVA’s Junior Makers program creates a fun, social environment for our youngest generation of makers to be introduced to fabrication and to build confidence in their STEM and problem-solving skills!

They offer a wide range of topics and activities for 4th-8th grade students to create a unique project with their parent or guardian. Sessions are typically held on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
