Transmission Electron Microscopy Demonstration

This 1-page document, created by the Nanotechnology Applications and Career Knowledge Support (NACK) Center at Pennsylvania State University, describes a demonstration that allows students to "oversee the use of a Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and to reinforce how electron microscopes generate images." By the end of the demonstration, students will be able to understand how backscattered electrons, auger electrons, elastically scattered electrons, and other generated species are used in TEM imaging and chemical analysis.
