This article introduces the Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence at Somerset Community College (SCC) and explores the potential effects of Additive Manufacturing (AM) in Kentucky's manufacturing sector. As manufacturing companies have been adopting AM, 3D-printing has changed traditional manufacturing processes. This change affects Kentucky, where the state's manufacturing industry favors conventional processes.
